Immediate Full-Time Maintenance Technician Position!!!

River Pointe Apartments in Mishawaka and Georgetown Apartments in South Bend are full-time maintenance technicians. The Maintenance Technician ensures the completion of buildings and grounds related upkeep and repair, in accordance with company policies and procedures. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. 1. Assist in preparing all vacant apartments to market ready condition as needed. 2. Respond to resident requests and work orders in a timely fashion 3. Perform on-call emergency service as required (rotation shared with other technicians) 4. Diagnose problems and repairs in the areas of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, swimming pools, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structure, and appliances 5. Perform preventative maintenance tasks to eliminate untimely and costly breakdowns 6. Work as part of a team and perform maintenance tasks independently 7. Responsible for clearing snow along property walkways 8. Perform cleaning duties to maintain common areas 9. Inspects building and grounds to ensure safety and cleanliness 10. Responsible for tools, materials, and equipment Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Ability to work in a team-centered atmosphere as well as work independently. • Strong knowledge of building maintenance principles • 1-3 years’ experience with residential maintenance or related construction • CPO, HVAC, and pool certifications a plus Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
