CARD DESIGN COMPETITION ANNOUNCED TO SHARE LOVE NOTES AROUND THE WORLD NEW AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY INITIATIVE FOR COMPASSION & CARING LOS ANGELES – September 17, 2020 – Love Notes Around The World, a new volunteer-led initiative of American Cancer Society in the Los Angeles Central Coast area, has announced a Greeting Card Design Competition. Top selections will be featured on special greeting cards that will be available for distribution to more than 25,000 recipients starting this December. A judging panel of experts in retail, fashion, and health will be making selections based on artwork received by October 31st. Submit your design(s) by October 16th to be considered for the first ever American Cancer Society Love Notes Around The World branded Greeting Card Series. Your design will be featured on thousands of cards with empathetic and compassionate messages to current cancer patients and survivors around the world! Submissions and questions can be sent to [email protected] Love Notes Around The World is a volunteer-led American Cancer Society platform where individuals and groups have opportunities to create, share, and/or send messages of compassion to cancer patients in treatment, caretakers, care providers, and others in need. Vivian Chan, founder, shares, "Love Notes Around The World is a highly engaging, creative, and interactive platform that will truly connect people around the world. Cancer has not stopped, so neither will we." Approximately 80% of calls American Cancer Society to its support center has received since March have been to address COVID-related impacts, including concerns about treatment, access to care, distress, and more. Love Notes Around the World is a peer-to-peer format with digital and print options for people to connect with survivors, caregivers, first line supporters, and others in need.
