NEWPORT, RI — The preliminary results are in for the Newport Town Council at-large and Ward 3 races, and according to the Rhode Island Board of Elections, Jamie Bova leads a crowded field of 12 candidates, with mail-in votes yet to be counted. If the results hold, the top eight candidates will move on to the general election on Nov. 3.
