Presentation and Book Signing with Author Olivier Piton Join us for this special event with Olivier Piton, author of Kamala Harris: Pionnière d'Amérique, the first French-language biography of the U.S. Vice President. This book was nominated for the Prix du Livre Géopolitique in January. As a French citizen and Washington insider who has lived and worked in the United States for over 15 years, Olivier Piton brings a unique perspective to understanding the U.S. and French political landscape. As Kamala Harris takes on a larger role in Europe with the Ukraine crisis, NATO relationships, and U.S. foreign policy in general , Mr. Piton will share insights into how the Vice President is viewed from a European and French perspective. The presentation will be in French, with a question and answer session in French and English. This event will take place outdoors behind the bookstore. This event is FREE and open to the public. Mask-wearing is encouraged during the event and inside our store. About the Author Mr. Piton is an Elected member of the Assembly of the French Citizens Abroad (Assemblée des Français de l'Etranger). He has directed public affairs for the French Embassy and served as advisor to various Ambassadors . Prior to working in the US, he served in several French government task forces including the French Prime Minister's office and the President of the French Senate's office. Mr. Piton is Washington Attorney-at-Law and founding partner of Piton-Gillespie law firm, specialized in transatlantic business relationships. He is the author of La nouvelle révolution américaine (Plon, 2016) and Les transgressifs au pouvoir (Plon, 2017).
