Join us for a vertical tasting of Bergström wines! We will be tasting bottles from 2006 up to 2016, exploring each unique vintage! This is YOUR opportunity to nerd out on local Pinot Noir! So what is a vertical tasting? While a traditional tasting typically includes a variety of types and styles, a vertical wine tasting includes different vintages of the same type of wine from the same winery. We even take it a step further and compare different vineyards sites from the same vintages and the other way round (same vineyards - different vintages). A lot to understand, I hear you!…. Long story short, here is your opportunity to see the aging potential of the ‘créme de la créme’ from the Chehalem mountains (all the way back to 2006!). We will analyze strong and weak vintages, talk about the right cellar conditions and most importantly compare the wines with each other. A ‘normal’ wine tasting experience doesn’t give you the opportunity to compare vintages at the same time, it is indeed quite a privilege! Thanks to a collector in Portland, we were able to get a hold of these wines (impossible to be purchased otherwise) and would like to share them with our great customers.
