Please see Swallow Hill Music's updated COVID-19 Policy here. The Hill People The Hill People are long-time Swallow HIll students, most having been members for over 10 years. They've studied a variety of musical genres including classic rock, folk, bluegrass, and funk. Members of the Hill People have played in a variety of ensembles, and some have even written and recorded original songs. The Hill People would like to thank the teachers with whom they've studied at Swallow HIll, including (but not limited to) Thomas Jennings, Trent Nelson, Vicki Taylor, Jeff Rady, Aaron McCloskey and JT Nolan. Fiddle Tunes Ensemble Fiddle standards for all! Get into the shuffles, rags, reels, scales, arpeggios, double stops, and rhythms associated with fiddle tunes through this ensemble led by Jarett Mason. This special set will see ‘em take a tour of Irish music. Fireside Folk & Women of Folk Songs you can sing along to! We dig harmonies and we’ll play tunes by Julie Miller, Wilco, Melanie, Cyndi Lauper and more. Jen Hitt says, “y’all come!” Kevin McNearny He’d say how long he’s been a Swallow Hill student, but that might reflect badly on the School, but through the encouragement and guidance of teachers and fellow students, here we are. KN has been an ER RN all of his adult life and this has colored some of his songwriting. May God have mercy on your ears.
