Church safety/security training event to build a coalition of church safety teams sharing best practices and potential community threats. With domestic violence and attacks against the church on the rise, this is a MUST attend training to better prepare your church. For pastors, staff, ushers, greeters, children's ministry, safety team, medical and ALL other volunteers in the church. Join us for church safety /security training. Topics from why and how to build a safety team, identifying an issue to de-escalating a situation. Jim Howard, church safety expert who trains church safety teams nationally will provide all day church safety/security training: - Building a safety team - why it's important and steps in setting it up. - Safety team positions with do's and don'ts - Pros and cons of concealed weapons/ legal liability - Importance of churches sharing information - Identifying those that are hurting or come to do harm or disrupt your church -Video clips from church incidents to help you fully understand what a potential threat looks like and how to respond. This is a biblically based church safety training event with a focus of the expansion of God’s Kingdom. We encourage attendees to be ambassadors for Christ while protecting the flock. There is a $20/person cost to attend this event to cover breakfast and lunch. This event is open to church leadership / pastors, church staff, safety team members, ushers, greeters, children's ministry, and other volunteers in your church. For planning purposes, we ask that you register in advance and pay at the door.
