Description

Press release from the Des Moines Public Schools: October 12, 2020 Transportation staff weren't idle during the COVID-19 closure. The state's largest district bus fleet has been inspected, the interiors sanitized and the drivers have been working with small groups of students attending school in person in this new environment. Des Moines Public Schools will expand bus service to serve students returning to the physical buildings during hybrid learning. You will find route information in your Infinite Campus parent portal. Families can prepare for the first day back on the bus by equipping students with required masks, reminding them about physical distancing, and downloading the Here Comes The Bus app. Also, click here to learn more about transportation at DMPS. DART Riders: If your student will be using DART to travel between home and school, or anywhere evenings and weekends, please review the DART/DMPS partnership information sheet, which includes rules for riding during COVID-19 and the hours that free bus transportation is available to DMPS students.
