Description

Make a handy coat rack for yourself and one to donate to Humble Design! Build basic woodworking skills, up your home organization game AND give back to your community all in one event! What could be better? In this hands-on workshop you will make two wall-mounted coat racks from reclaimed wood and shaker pegs - one to keep and one to donate. Evanston Rebuilding Warehouse is partnering with the non-profit Humble Design in their work to furnish the homes of families and veterans emerging from homelessness. Your coat rack will help furnish one of those homes! You will gain experience using the chop saw, router and drill press, while having fun in the process. LOGISTICS • Additional parking available along Hartrey St. or in the lot at the southwest corner of Dempster and Hartrey. • This workshop is 14+; children under 18 must attend with an adult using a Couples Ticket; no woodworking experience necessary. • All materials are included in the workshop fee. • Please wear closed toe shoes with a flat heel and avoid loose jewelry or baggy clothing. We will also be in a warehouse, so dress appropriately. REFUNDS & EXCHANGES • If you can’t make it to a class, you can transfer your ticket to someone 18 or older. Just email [email protected] with their name and email address. • If the Evanston Rebuilding Warehouse needs to cancel a workshop, we will notify you 24 hours before the class and give you the option of refund or reschedule. • We do not currently offer other refunds or transfers between classes.
