Description
Having to rehome my crested geckos. My chronic illness and a recent fall down the stairs have made it too difficult to care for them. This is one of the 3 that I'm rehoming, the other two will go up shortly. She's a dalmatian female I got from a breeder and she's very calm and sweet. She's always been a slow mover, not skittish at all. She just has a great disposition. She dropped her tail sometime last year, it's completely healed and she's fine, just a frog butt now. She's 2.5 yrs old, so hypothetically she may still grow a little, but it's very doubtful. I haven't weighed her recently, because of my medical issues and me not being able to move around as I'd like to, I'm refraining from taking the geckos out unless it's absolutely necessary. She has been raised on pangea mostly (fig&insects, watermelon being the most common flavors), I had repashy a few times, but she didn't seem to be the biggest fan, the (new) zoo med tropical flavor crested mrp is also one she likes and (dusted-) dubias, crickets, mealworms. Not a fan of hornworms (I tried small ones with her and she wasn't having it). Her current tank is 20x24x12 and she has always had UVB lights as well as a seperate UVA for the plants because her setup is bioactive. I don't expect that the next owner go bioactive as well, but it would be best. She should definitely get a UVB light for though, since cresteds are not just nocturnal, but also crepuscular and will need that UVB. I have the zoo med 14" lamp hood with the reptisun 5.0 tube in it, it gives her the choice of being in or out of the lighted/uvb affected area at her chosen elevation. It's set on a timer from 6am-6pm summer & 8am-5ish for winter. Just to give an idea. The hood isn't that expensive, just have to switch the bulbs every couple of months because the UVB output wears out. Feeding is mrp twice a week and dusted insects once every week or every other week. Asking rehoming fee to match what I paid the breeder when she was a juvi. This is just for the gecko, no terra etc. Doubtful this might come up, but just in case it does, I will not ship her, so please don't ask. Message only @707 three eightnine 57two1 I'm located in chicopee and I won't be able to deliver/meet due to my recent accident and chronic pain. And will want to know you have the proper setup. Again, this animal isn't free, so if you're going to get offended about a rehoming fee this isn't for you.
