Beer, Food, Music, and FUN! A free, family friendly event featuring live chef demos, a food drive, local resources, and specialty beer! Love Food Hate Waste, Memphis! Join us Saturday, April 9th from 12pm to 4pm at Memphis Made Brewing for a free, fun, family-friendly event. Enjoy a free specialty craft beer by Memphis Made Brewing, watch live chef demos, and learn how you can reduce food waste in your home. With games for the kiddos and the young-at-heart, there is something for everyone to enjoy. This bread-to-tap event brings together beer, food, music and fun in a meaningful and impactful way. What’s bread-to-tap? Brewers across the state are partnering with local bakeries to transform their unsold bread into a delicious brew to highlight the problem of food waste and its myriad solutions. This event will bring together local organizations who combat food waste and food insecurity in their communities. Participate in our statewide food drive by donating non-perishable food items to help feed our neighbors in need. The non-perishable food items will go to support the efforts and missions of Mid-South Food Bank, Cafe Congo of First Congregational Church, and For The Kingdom’s Feed The Block program. Love Food Hate Waste, Memphis! is in support of 901 Save The Food and Get Food Smart Tennessee campaigns and is sponsored by Memphis Made Brewing, Clean Memphis, Bring It Food Hub, and Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.
