Enjoy an evening at the Old Fort and a delicious Dutch Oven Dinner. The evening will begin with a tour of the Old Fort, a Nevada State Park, with a Park Ranger. This site was on the Old Spanish Trail, a Fort and a Ranch owned by Helen J. Stewart (who became known as the "First Lady of Las Vegas", along with so many other things. You will walk through an Adobe building, one of the oldest structures in Southern Nevada, view the Fort bastion and learn about O.D. Gass and Helen Stewart, the Paitue People and others who were on this site. Then, enjoy a tasty Dutch Oven dinner which includes: Dutch Oven Chicken, Homemade Rolls, Dutch Oven Potatoes, a Salad Bar and Dutch Oven Cobbler for Dessert. During the dinner we will have live music . After the Dutch Oven Dinner, our Guest Speaker will be Mr Jeffrey Alpert who will be speaking about his new book titled, "The Early Pioneers of Las Vegas". Jeffrey will be signing books and will have them available for purchase ($15, cash only please). Spend a pleasant evening at the Old Fort and celebrate in the history of Early Las Vegas!
