Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage at Tap House 66 in Johnson City on Thursday, April 14. Paul Kozlowski is headlining the show and Andy Kuhn and Bill Russum are joining host Mike Peters. The show starts at 7 p.m., and there's a recommended $5 donation at the door, which opens at 6:30. Come out and enjoy the show. About the comedians: Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters performed at the Funny Bone in Syracuse, the Greenwich Village Comedy Club in New York City, won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske, and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcast, On the Mic with Mike Peters. Bill Russum is one of the mainstays of the comedy scene in Lewisburg, Pa. In addition to hosting the C.O.M.I.C. Open Mic at Civil War Cider and a mixed mic Bull Run, Russum has been able to combine a minor drinking problem with a major podcasting addiction. He hosts Drunk Bill Explains with A-List and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast with Mike Peters. A musician and deejay, Russum is too busy for his own good, but is free enough to keep the beer fridge full. A Rochester comedian, Andy Kuhn has performed all over the northeastern United States. A new dad and a familiar face in the Rochester scene, Kuhn has hosted shows for Pat McGann and Shane Gillis and worked with Andrew Schulz, Jessimae Peluso, Dov Davidoff and Rich Voss. He uses his dark humor to the recreational activities of his past with his responsibilities as a father beautifully. Paul Kozlowski is one of the most unique voices on the local comedy scene. A Cortland native, Kozlowski came up through the Boston comedy scene and worked in New York City and Los Angeles, making appearances in the Shakes the Clown and Punchline movies and on television in "The Chris Rock Show," "Mr. Show with Bob and David" and "Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist," along with writing for "The Wayne Brady Show," "Johnny Bravo and "The Jon Stewart Show." He also produces the must-listen podcast, Look Who Showed Up. There's no telling what'll come out of Kozlowski's mouth. But you won't be able to look away.
