JERSEY CITY, NJ — Variety is the spice of life, the old saying goes. And throughout the entire United States, there is nowhere this maxim is more relevant than in Jersey City, a recent study says. On Tuesday, Jersey City was ranked as the "Most Culturally Diverse" city in the nation by financial information website WalletHub. Researchers compared more than 500 large U.S. cities to reach their conclusion, using factors such as "ethnicity and race," "language" and "birthplace." Jersey City scored particularly well in: Ethnoracial Diversity – 2nd in nationLinguistic Diversity – 1st in nationJersey City ranked 158th in "Birthplace Diversity," but scored enough overall points to edge out the second-highest-rated city, Gaithersburg, Maryland.
