Cafe Esme is a touch of Paris located in the heart of downtown Jersey City. Enter the sun-drenched cafe and you'll be hit by the aromas of freshly-made coffee, all of which are Fair Trade and Rainforest Alliance sourced. Coffee lovers can choose from a freshly roasted shot of espresso to a frothy flat white. Non-coffee drinkers can enjoy an assortment of organic teas including chai, peppermint, jasmine, and matcha, or can choose from the wide variety of the fresh squeezed juices. No cafe is complete without a good latte, and Cafe Esme offers a variety of lattes that range from an aromatic lavender latte to a floral rose latte that's served with actual rose petals. The French take their pastries seriously and Cafe Esme is no exception. Here you'll find a mix of sweet and savory treats including croissants, made-from-scratch crepes, and a variety of paninis. Popular food options include cage-free eggs Benedict with ham and hollandaise sauce on a focaccia and a freshly-baked, buttery croissant with cured prosciutto, mozzarella and arugula. There's even a menu for kids serving everything from grilled cheese to creme fouette with strawberries, banana, and chocolate sauce. With a strong focus on clean and simple ingredients, Cafe Esme is also your go-to spot for fresh juices. The cafe has its own juice bar with fresh squeezed juices that are made-to-order while you wait. More than just a coffee house, Cafe Esme also strives to be a strong part of the Jersey City community. The cafe hosts events that showcase local talent and also throws fundraisers that benefit Jersey City charities.
