González Office: (210) 207-5454 [email protected] SAN ANTONIO (March 22, 2022) — The City of San Antonio Planning Department is hosting a community meeting, at St. Philip's College, for the Eastside Community Area Plan. Wednesday, March 23, 2022 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. 1801 Martin Luther King Drive St. Philip's College, Sutton Learning Center Bldg. San Antonio, TX, 78203 The Eastside Community Area Plan, launched in 2019, is being developed to implement the SA Tomorrow Comprehensive Plan, which was adopted by City Council in 2016. Throughout the planning process the City has organized numerous meetings to engage residents in how the area can develop and build on its existing assets to fulfill the community's vision. Draft recommendations and strategies for the area were created through this community-based planning process that when adopted, will be used by City Departments, partner agencies, private entities, and community partners to support livable, complete neighborhoods. During the open-house style public meeting residents will review the draft plan, have an opportunity to ask questions, and provide their feedback on the draft recommendations and strategies. "We thank the community members, business owners, and stakeholders who have participated in this planning process for the past three years. Your continued support and dedication throughout this process is essential to planning for our community," said Bridgett White, AICP, Director of the Planning Department. "The community is invited to attend the public meeting and to share your comments and feedback as we near the final stages of the planning process." Opportunities are available to provide comment before, during, or after the meeting through the plan website, social media and via email.
