Press release from the City of Irving: March 23, 2022 TxDOT will close State Highway (SH) 183 on-ramps and main lanes from Spur 482 and Maryland Drive overnight on March 23, March 24 and March 25. WEDNESDAY, MARCH 23, 9 P.M. to THURSDAY, MARCH 24, 5 A.M. Full closure of the direct connector ramp from southbound Spur 482 to westbound SH-183. Full closure of eastbound SH-183 main lanes from Loop 12 to Maryland Drive. THURSDAY, MARCH 24, 9 P.M. TO FRIDAY, MARCH 25, 5 A.M. Full closure of the direct connector ramp from southbound Spur 482 to westbound SH-183. FRIDAY, MARCH 25, 9 P.M. TO SATurday, march 26, 5 a.m. Full closure of the direct connector ramp from southbound Spur 482 to westbound SH-183. Full closure of westbound SH-183 main lanes from Maryland Drive to Loop 12. Detour signage will be posted for each ramp closure. Drivers should plan ahead for extra travel time and seek alternate routes. This work is part of the ongoing $301 million Irving Interchange project that will reconstruct the interchanges at SH 183, SH 114, Loop 12 and Spur 482. The project is anticipated to complete in mid-2023, weather permitting. Message boards have been placed to alert drivers of upcoming construction activities.
