Nakoma is a 6 year old red nose pit bull looking for her forever home. She had a VERY horrible past and her previous owners even tried to poison her before I received her. Upon further investigation, we had found a metal BB on her x-rays indicating she was shot. After extensive care, she beat the odds and survived all the abuse she went through. She is a very loving dog. Not too activate but does love her outside time. All she wants is to be present. She wants to be acknowledged. She’s spent most of her life in a kennel because her previous owner “wasn’t capable” of caring for her the way she deserves. Absolutely no cats. And absolutely no dogs. She’s not aggressive, she’s reactive towards ANIMALS and animals only. She has been around children of all ages to help desensitize her and she really is a nanny dog. Nakoma is house broken, kennel trained (she prefers to sleep in her kennel)and does very well on a leash. While Nakoma would make a great companion for anyone, we really want her to go to a family with kids preferably. She feels like being around kids is her job. And she does a great job at alerting you when something is out of order (stray animals, strangers, noises)
