Homeless Solutions offers shelter, services and supportive housing to the homeless and working poor in Morris County, NJ. All applications must be completed through our website: The Residential Support Staff at the Mount Kemble Home (part of the Homeless Solutions Inc. property portfolio) is responsible for providing live-in, onsite oversight to this historic home and it’s tenants. The Mount Kemble Home houses senior women of limited means in an independent living environment. This role will support safe and healthy facility management and provide limited direction to the residents. Ideal candidates will appreciate the opportunity to gain property management and social services experience, while receiving cost free housing and a monthly stipend for overnight attendance. This role requires regular overnight presence, not as an "awake" position. Flexible schedule to accommodate other day time responsibilities. Housing provided is a large, sunny studio apartment with private bath and kitchenette, in Morristown, NJ, valued at fair market value of $1500/month. Monthly stipend available. Duties and Responsibilities will include working with Property Management and facilities staff to ensure the safe operation of the facility, as well as assisting in coordinating regular maintenance with appropriate staff. Associated responsibilities include: • Maintaining a safe and healthy living environment through activities including monitoring public areas for cleanliness, reporting issues or maintenance and security concerns to HSI Property Management, conducting fire drills, etc. • Relay telephone messages appropriately. • Maintain a professional and considerate relationship with tenants while ensuring adherence to all house rules and policies. • Post appropriate housing notices for resident review HSI values the safety and well being of our staff as a priority. To that end, we have implemented multi-layered safety protocols, ensuring safe working environments. Ideal candidates will meet the organization’s minimum requirements relating to COVID19 vaccination status. Qualifications: 1. Basic knowledge of and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel. 2. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record 3. Good oral and written communication skills 4. Subject to satisfactory periodic background checks 5. Regular and predictable onsite attendance during the scheduled hours for this position are essential. 6. Physically capable of lifting and carrying supplies, up to 20 pounds. 7. Frequent standing and walking, including stairs. 8. Full range of motion to complete tasks as might be used in cleaning assignments. 9. Clarity of vision at close and long range.
