Description

We recently took in this big guy. I described our home in great detail to his owners and they said it would be a good fit. They told me they were moving to a small apartment and couldn’t have him. I was writing them, letting them know the issues I was having and they said hopefully he would readjust and get back to his usual self. That was also my hope. I’m familiar with the breed. We had a Cane Corso we recently had to put down due to severe health issues, at the recommendation of 3 vets. My kids have been raised around the breed and other dogs. However, this morning he was startled and went after one of my kids. I 100% believe he’s scared. He has done amazing when I’m sitting with him and he isn’t startled. We have 4 other dogs and he’s been playing with them perfectly. We also have 3 cats and he’s paid them no attention. We have a small farm with various livestock and have had no issues. I can’t chance it with my kids though. I have six kids ranging from 2 years to 13 years. He knows sit and lay. He walks well on and off the leash. He’s listened very well and even the times he’s growled, he’s stopped as soon as I told him to. When the incident with my kid happened, I yelled and grabbed his collar and he backed off. He does listen. I honestly think he has potential and is the amazing dog the previous owners made him out to be. He needs a home that isn’t as rambunctious as ours. Ive spoke to the previous owners and they say they can’t meet me to possibly take him back til sometime next week. I let them know that’s not gonna work for me. He will be 4 years old in May 2022. He is not fixed. He comes with two collars, his favorite toy, a bag of food and his bowls. He is not due for shots until the end of April. Asking $400, what I paid for him. Feel free to ask any questions and I’ll do my best to answer.
