SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — Orange County Parks have announced closures Thursday due to high Santa Ana winds and explosive fire conditions.
The Bond Fire, which began late Wednesday evening and exploded to over 3,600 acres Thursday morning, has sent smoke smothering much of Orange County.
As such, the Parks Service has announced the following park closures:
IrvinePeters CanyonSantiago Oaks regional parkO'Neill regional parkOC ZooIrvine LakeIrvine Ranch Open SpaceSaddleback GatewayWhiting Ranch Wilderness ParkArden Modjeska Historic House and Gardens. The exact length of the closures is not known as of 10 a.m. Thursday.
