One Vibe Africa (OVA) is excited to present an Ethiopian Dinner on Sunday March 20th, Senegalese Dinner on March 27th, and Kenyan Dinner on April 3rd as part of the One Vibe African Dinner Experiences. One Vibe Africa’s dinner series aims to allow for cultural awareness to be reinforced and community partnerships to be formed. Attendees will be greeted with warm faces, live music, and an authentic African meal. Guests will be invited to engage with one another while dinner serves as the entry point for strong community connections
One Vibe Africa’s mission is to create a liberated African narrative through collaboration among Africans “at home” and in the diaspora. Starting with the youth, we generate a future for Africa through cultural events, video content, education, music, and the arts. If you want to see how the One Vibe African Dinner Experiences looked like since 2016 when they were housed at Cafe Avole, you can watch this wonderful video on YouTube!
The One Vibe African Dinner Experiences is an opportunity for community members to gain deeper exposure and insights to the culture, food, and topics that come from and inform Africa and the African diaspora. With the recent effects of COVID, many people are eager to get out and connect with others. People were disconnected from connecting with others. Their mental health was challenged as a result. The first problem the dinner series solves is creating an experience for people to connect in community while healing in community. Opportunities for conversation over dinner is an experience that creates a sense of belonging. One Vibe Africa's dinner series aims to continue hosting a space for people to learn about one another and connect in community.
