Join us at Antelope Island for a birding tour especially for LGBTQIA+ folks and our allies. Join Tracy Aviary, the Utah Pride Center, and Antelope Island Park Service for a casual, guided bird walk especially for LGBTQIA+ folx and our allies. This program is primarily for adults to connect with each other and the incredible birds who call the the Jordan River Watershed home. No bird watching experience? No problem! Our educators and partners are experienced bird nerds and will help you spot and identify birds along the river. We'll even have freshly-sanitized binoculars and bird guides for you to borrow. We're not the only people around the country hosting Let's Go Birding Together walks! You can read more about the start of Let's Go Birding Together here and you can read about our program here. Event Details The birding tour will start at Antelope Island at 9:00 am. We will be meeting at the parking lot by the Antelope Island Park gate. If you need a ride, would like to carpool, or follow other drivers to Antelope Island, meet us at Tracy Aviary's parking lot in Liberty Park at 7:30 am. We will be leaving Tracy Aviary promptly at 8 am to arrive at Antelope Island at 9 am. If you would like to reserve a seat in our passenger van, please complete the additional registration. If you drive yourself to Antelope Island, you can tell the gate you are with Tracy Aviary's birding group and you will not need to pay an entrance fee. Please make sure to dress for the weather and wear appropriate shoes. Bring a snack plenty of water, sunscreen, and bring your binoculars if you have them. As always, we will have some binoculars and bird identification guides to share. If you are unable to attend this event, PLEASE cancel your registration so other people may attend instead.
