SAN FRANCISCO, CA — In case there was any question how fervently Californians are cheering on the San Francisco 49ers ahead of Sunday's Super Bowl, a Pleasanton-based company put an end to those doubts Saturday by creating a giant grass mural for the team at San Francisco's Presidio Golf Course. "We are BIG 49er fans," Kelli Pearson of Pleasanton-based New Ground Technology told Patch. The mural, made using the company's temporary "AirPrint" technology, measures 75 by 50 feet and was done in one hour. The whole process was captured on video shot by a drone. Super Bowl LIV, set for 3:30 p.m. PST Sunday, pits the 49ers against the Kansas City Chiefs. Last week, New Ground created a mural honoring Kobe Bryant, following the sports icon's tragic death along with his daughter, Gianna, in a helicopter accident Jan. 26.
