Join Victory Service Dogs for a Unique & Enjoyable Fundraiser Grapes of Gratitude is a competitive wine tasting event where you bring the wine and are able to possibly win several bottles to take home with you. It's not competing to see who can drink the most or quickest, it's about who brings the crowd favorite. BONUS: Since this is the weekend before Mother's Day Sweetwater Flower Market will be there offering their knowledge, flowers & time to allow attendees to make a beautifull wreath to take home with them as a gift for Mom or yourself at no additional cost. Wine & Flowers....what more could you ask for?? So how does a competitive wine tasting event work exactly? Teams can consist of 1 to 3 participants. Thus, a group of 4 participants, for example, will be considered 2 teams and must bring 6 bottles of the featured varietal to enter the event.. The goal is to bring the best tasting wine! Each team brings 3 identical bottles of wine – same vintage, same year. Every team brings the same varietal. For this event, that’s PINOT NOIR On arrival, each team turns in their bottles of Pinot Noir. We’ll open, number, and disguise two, and place them out for tasting. The third bottle is set aside for prize distribution at the end of the evening. Over the course of the evening, you’ll enjoy tasting several different versions of Pinot Noir while munching on light hors d'oeuvres and critiquing the wines with your friends. At the end of the night, you’ll vote for your most and least favorite wines. And here’s the best part. If your team brought the wine with the most votes, you get to take the bottles we set aside home! Except the one nobody liked – the team that brought that has to take it back with them. (If it is a large event, the top 1-3 teams may split the wine) So that’s it. Here’s a great opportunity to have some fun with your friends, taste some great wines, make a gorgeous flower wreath and raise some funds for charity. Must be 21 years old to attend
