SAN FRANCSICO, CA — Amid surging COVID-19 cases, rising hospitalizations and sweeping new restrictions, San Francisco shoppers wasted no time rushing to a Costco on 10th Street Saturday. Video from Kron4 shows Bay Area residents amassed outside the Costco in a winding line stretching to the parking lot. Shoppers also emptied shelves of toilet paper and paper towels, Kron4 reported. Many were undoubtedly were stocking up before three Bay Area counties fall under a stay-at-home order Sunday night as a proactive move ahead of Gov. Gavin Newsom's regional order. At 10 p.m. Sunday, San Francisco, Contra Costa and Santa Clara counties fall under the lockdown.
