The Ashé Cultural Arts Center Community Health Workers invite you to hear from domestic violence survivors, victim advocates, and other experts about the dangers of domestic violence and the ways you can support victims of abuse.
Hands Off! features:
A panel discussion led by Adrienna Winfrey — founder of Arin’s Nesting Place, a resource center for victims of domestic violence — that will answer these questions: What is domestic violence? How do I recognize it? Where can I get help if I or someone I know is experiencing domestic violence?
A keynote speech from Charmaine Caccioppi, Executive Vice President / Chief Operating Officer of the United Way of Southeast Louisiana and one of 5 women from Louisiana who worked together to pass some of the strongest domestic violence laws in the nation.
