Expert Guided Spring Bird Walk - What will we see - Warblers? Orioles? Bluebirds? Eagles? Others?
Larry Federman, a local bird expert and enthusiast will lead an early morning (7:30 am) bird walk at the Mawignack Preserve on Saturday, April 23rd (Rain date - Sunday April 24, 2022).
We hope to see colorful songbirds back from the tropics to start their nesting season (warblers, tanagers, and orioles) as well as some of our familiar local favorites (bluebirds, eagles, and ospreys) in addition to trees, spring flowers and whatever else crosses our path. Participants will be introduced to bird identification techniques and apps. If you own binoculars, please bring them. For those that don't, we will have binoculars available to use during the walk.
The event is limited to 20 participants ages 8 and up. Cost is $10 (plus a $2.40 registration fee).
