I am a singer and lyricist looking to put together a band focused on writing originals. Seasoned player for over 40 years. I play harp and guitar. I'm Interested in Rock, Blues, Funky, Psychadelic type music. I would like to get a part time original project together just to have some fun and to see where it goes. We can start off with some cover tunes to jam but the focus would be on creating and recording original music. Ideally I would like to start off with someone who can really belt it out vocally but not necessary no matter what you play. Bass, Drums, Keys, Sax is all good. Male/Female. It doesn't matter. What matters is what you can do. If this sounds interesting send some MP3's or clips of you playing and I will get back to you if I like what I hear. Solo, with my meager guitar and bass skills, the tracks tend to have a slightly hard Joy Division or The Cure sort of feel. I am not a drummer, so what I have tracked with percussion and synth samples was done in Ableton Live. Just know things sound a tad industrial right now. And while there's a bit of a dark "vibe" currently, sound-wise it could just as likely end up more akin Jane's Addiction or even REM. Been playing for a little over 10 yrs. Influences range anything from Zappa, Primus, Dillinger, Daughters, Tigran Hamasyan, Mr. Bungle, Aic, Soundgarden, John Zorn, Minutemen, Sleep, Sabbath etc. Age doesnt really matter but preferably 20s-30s. Greg's 2nd cousin Brian Sagrafena not only helped Greg chop the song a little shorter, but also steered Greg's guitar trinkets in the back ground and brought in the cello which gave the song it's more unique feel. Brian also steered Greg's melody guitar on the chorus that cuts through the harmonies. Hey everyone. I'm a guitar player looking for something kind of unusual.
