Press release from the City of Ankeny: December 14, 2020 The following facility changes have occurred at the City of Ankeny as a result of the Facility Needs Study. Public Services Building: The following departments have moved to the former Kirkendall Public Library building located at 1210 NW Prairie Ridge Drive: Community Development, Municipal Utilities, Parks & Recreation and Public Works. All phone numbers will remain the same, this is a permanent move for these departments. Utility Billing Customer Service will not move. City Hall: Staff from City Hall have moved temporarily to the former Public Services Building at 220 W. First Street, all phone numbers remain the same. This includes the following Departments: City Manager's Office, Communications, Economic Development, Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology. This is a temporary move while the HVAC system is replaced and other improvements are made at City Hall. These departments along with Utility Billing Customer Service will move back to City Hall once the work is completed, which is expected to take six months. Currently, all city facilities with the exception of the Ankeny Kirkendall Public Library and Otter Creek Pro Shop, are closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Residents, contractors and others are encouraged to do business with the City via phone, private appointments, online meetings, email or www.ankenyiowa.gov. Contact information can be found at www.ankenyiowa.gov/connect. The vestibule at City Hall, 410 W. First Street, will remain as a drop site for all facilities.
