SAN FRANCISCO, CA — "Don't Eat The Mangos," a new play from Ricardo Pérez González that takes a wickedly funny angle on sisters coping with a hurricane, an ailing papa and family secrets, is available for streaming for a limited time via Magic Theatre in San Francisco.
The play, performed live at a Fort Mason theater in February and March, now is available in a virtual format through May 11, with tickets priced at "pay what you can," starting at $15.
Also, Chapter Two of the new Monday-through-Friday daily podcast series, Far Apart Art, began Monday with installments featuring playwrights, actors, directors, designers and more. Find the podcasts here.
"We hope these intimate visits from afar are providing some connectivity, solidarity and joy," said Loretta Greco, Magic Theatre's artistic director.
"Don't Eat The Mangos" was developed, in part, at the 2019 Sundance Institute Theatre Lab and was further developed and supported through a partnership between The Sol Project and Magic Theatre. Follow this link for more information on viewing the play.
