My cat recently passed away and we’re ready for a new pair of kittens. My son is asthmatic and allergic to ‘some’ cats. The best way we’ve found to find out if he reacts to them is is just to be around them for about a day. We’re looking for light colored ones and short hair common house cats as they seem to be better on his allergies. Just a theory, but seems to hold true so far. Orange on white, or vice versa is best. So, the request is to take the pair for a day with the intent to keep them, and as long as he’s fine that’s what we’ll do. If he starts sneezing like crazy (which has happened once before) we’d have to bring them back. We would know within a day though. The pair of cats will be here for the rest of their lives or mine :) and will be well taken care of.
