Description

MIDDLETOWN, RI — Middletown residents who are looking to hit the beach this summer will be able to check ahead to see if there will be any parking when they get there. The town has a camera shot on its website that allows residents a peek at the Second Beach parking lot before they drive there and are met with the potential disappointment of a lack of spots. Second Beach will open every day at 8 a.m. on a first-come, first-serve basis until the parking lot reaches capacity. Middletown is selling seasonal passes at the gazebo next to Second Beach, weather permitting, all summer long. Payment by check is preferred and no credit cards are accepted. There are no daily parking passes being sold this summer due to the coronavirus circumstances. Residential seasonal passes are $70 ($65 for seniors) for cars and $30 for motorcycles. Non-resident seasonal passes are $140 ($130 for seniors) for cars and $60 for motorcycles.
