MIDDLETOWN, RI — Middletown will look to hold down the mosquito population this summer with 90-day treatments of drainage catch basins in town in accordance with guidance from the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management
Mosquitoes are known to be responsible for transmitting Eastern Equine Encephalitis and West Nile Virus.
Residents are asked to contact the Rhode Island Department of Health at www.health.ri.gov/mosquito for more mosquito prevention tips.
