I need a wood frame constructed and installed according to my specifications as provided herein. Frame Specifications Installation 1. Assemble Frame prior to installation 2. Dig 2 (8"-10" diameter) post holes at specified location at a depth to allow a minimum 24" post embedment. If hole is too deep, backfill with soil and compact. 3. Position assembled Frame Posts into center of dug holes, and provide temporary bracing to ensure Frame is (and remains) plumb and level. 4. Prepare concrete mix according to manufacture’s instructions (2.5 qt water / 60# sack) 5. Fill holes surrounding post with mixed concrete (consolidate to remove air voids). 6. Do not remove temporary bracing until at least 24 hours have past. Frame Assembly 1. Position cut end of 4x4 post at top of frame. 2. Pre-drill ¼" Thru holes in 4x4 post to accept Lag Screws as indicated on Frame SK-1 drawing 3. Pre-drill ⅛" Pilot holes in ends of Struts to accept Lag Screws as indicated on Frame SK-1 drawing 4. Install 2 - ¼" Lag Screws at 4 locations for Strut-to-Post connections as indicated on Frame SK-1 drawing 5. Lay Frame on its front face. 6. Verify Frame is square by confirming diagonal measurement as indicated on Frame SK-1 drawing 7. Position 1x4 Brace on back face of Frame as indicated on Frame SK-1 drawing, and attach using 2 - #8x2" screws into each Post and lower Strut 8. Cut off portion of 1x4 Brace which extends beyond outer face of Post. 9. Insert 1 - #8x2" screw half depth into each Post on each face a few inches from bottom. Material List ● 1 - 4x4x12' Post, Pressure Treated for Ground Contact; Standard and Better S4S Cut into 2 - 6' lengths ● 1 - 2x4x6' Redwood Lumber. Cut into 2 - 29" lengths ● 1 - 1x4x8' Wood Board; S4S Premium Kiln Dried Hem-Fir/Douglas Fir Board ● 8 - ¼" x 6" Spax PowerLag Screws ● 14 - #8x2" Spax wood Screws ● 4 - 60# Bags of Concrete Mix; SAKRETE High-Strength Concrete Mix ● Miscellaneous lumber to temporarily brace Frame during installation The frame installation job site location is in the Hayward hills. You will need to source and provide the materials specified. I recommend Hayward Home Depot. I will reimburse you for the material costs. This is a small gig that is best suited for someone that lives, or regularly works, close to the job site. No requests to meet at the job site will be considered.
