Through the SilverSounds program, we aim to provide hearing healthcare services to individuals in the community free of charge. Join the University of Pittsburgh Communication Science and Disorders Department's Audiology Program for free hearing screenings and hearing aid checks. At this event, you will receive information on the following: Education regarding hearing health, communication, and hearing assistance technologyComprehensive hearing assessmentsBasic checks of hearing device functionSeniors who elect to participate in the SilverSounds clinic will receive a copy of the results obtained from their hearing assessment and referral information to additional healthcare providers as needed. For instance, we can provide information regarding where to obtain hearing assistance technology based on their health insurance carriers.
