Description
*Personal references and rehoming fee required* Send email for details. Sana is a beautiful, active, 7 month old unaltered female Akita puppy, She weighs about 55lbs. She recently received a clean bill of health after a veterinary exam, she is up to date on all necessary vaccinations, and she is micro-chipped. She has had no health problems whatsoever, and she has shown no aggression towards people. The primary reason I've decided to re-home Sana is because she needs more exercise and attention than I can provide her at this time. I live in an apartment in Ballard, and although Sana and I go for walks every day, and we go to the local dog park nearly every day, she clearly needs more exercise and stimulation than she's getting now. She's recently chewed up several of my shoes and other items while I was gone. Sana needs a home with a yard so she can play and run. I do landscaping and construction work, and I've tried to bring Sana with me everywhere I go, but she often gets motion sickness while riding in my truck for more than 15 minutes, and she's not happy traveling. I purchased Sana from friends of mine who breed and sell Akitas. Sana's father, Dallas, is a large American Akita that weighs about 120lbs. Her mother, who is named Mama, is a Japanese Akita that weighs 90lbs. Sana's siblings from an earlier litter vary in weight from 85lbs to 130lbs. Nearly everyone agrees that Sana is the cutest dog ever. Like her dad, she has one very endearing and unusual floppy ear. Sana's tail remains uncurled most of the time unless she's on alert, which is atypical for the breed. She is intelligent, playful, and eminently trainable. Like most Akitas, she is affectionate with family, she is protective of her home, and she is wary of strangers. It will probably take a few meet-n-greets before she's ready to go with someone but there are always exceptions. Sana has been successfully socialized with other dogs at home and at the dog park, She has become familiar and comfortable with several of my friends and some residents of the apartment buiding. However, Sana has had absolutely no interactions with children. She has shown a strong desire to chase smaller animals, so a home with cats is not recommended, and she would need to be watched carefully around kids. If you want Sana to become your personal companion or your family's dog, I will ask for details about your experience in training dogs, and I will ask details about your living situation. I will request personal references, and there will be a non-negotiable re-homing fee. Send me a message if you have questions- serious inquiries only, please.
