JOHNSTON, RI — The Johnston Police Department celebrated the promotion of three officers this week with a ceremony that included Mayor Joseph Polisena. Lt. Joseph Salvadore was promoted to captain, Sgt. Joseph McGinn was promoted to lieutenant and Patrolman Remy Mendez was promoted to the rank of sergeant.
