Rock/Funk/Pop musical mixer at Victory Grill

We’re back with another rock/funk/electropop musical mixer, and this time we’ve got a stage! There were enough interested musicians and spectators last time that we couldn’t fit everybody, so we’re partnering with The Victory Grill next Thursday, April 7th from 7-10pm. We'll cap the number of musicians who perform, but everybody is invited to come out and join the party, so bring a friend! Entry is free, bar and kitchen are open, and donations are encouraged to help cover the cost of the sound engineer. Like last time, the goal is to gather musicians interested in playing in a group and jam songs in the indie rock/psych pop/funk vein to see if chemistry strikes. Music is about community, so our goal is to grow the modern music scene in Austin by connecting like-minded musicians with each other. We’ll play a few originals as well as some genre standards, such as All These Things That I’ve Done by The Killers. I’ll send out the song list beforehand so all players are familiar with the material. We’re open to including other songs in the set, so don't be shy about suggesting and we’ll include the most requested songs. All instruments are welcome, as well as songwriters. Please include some samples of your playing with your message, and let us know briefly what your musical goals are. This helps us ensure that the musicians who play are looking for the same thing, and at the same level. Look forward to hearing from you!
