"One Game at a time, and One Mission at a time" - 12U Head Coach Lee Ogaldez On the morning of Sunday November 10, 2019 at approximately 10:30 AM EST the East Providence Junior Townies 12U football team was given a proper send off by the East Providence Mayor, Bob DaSilva at Pierce Memorial Field. A few hours later the East Providence Junior Townies (9-2) beat the CLCF Chiefs (9-1) by a score of 36-12 in the 12U Super Bowl for Blackstone Valley Youth Football and Cheerleading (AYF) which was held at Durfee High School in Fall River, MA. The CLCF Chiefs 12U team was previously unbeaten and the East Providence Junior Townies defense held them to only 12 points including an interception return for a touchdown by Isaac Fox. The Junior Townies offense was led by Saqari Monroe with 3 touchdown runs, Jaidin Orefice with 1 touchdown run and Isaac Fox with 1 touchdown run. In addition, the entire offensive line of the Junior Townies did an amazing job blocking the entire game. With the win the East Providence Junior Townies 12U football team earned a trip to the New England AYF Semifinals where they will face the Manchester East Cobras (10-1) from the New Hampshire Youth Football & Spirit Conference (AYF). The Semifinals are being held on November 17, 2019 at Durfee High School in Fall River, MA with a scheduled kickoff of 2:00 PM. Congratulations to the East Providence Junior Townies 12U football team and Good Luck this weekend when you face the Manchester East Cobras.
