In need of a keyboard to fill out rhythm (as well as solos) section. This is a good opportunity for someone to join an existing band that has been playing for a while. Our band (Bleuphonk) is about 12 yrs old, various changes to the line up throughout the years but still playing. We practice in the Garden Home/Raleigh Hill area. Right now we are bass, drums, guitar and 2 singers. We are all intermediate hobbyists playing Blues, Soul, Rock n’ Roll, Funk, Jazz and originals. We play out 4 to 6 times a year, usually at the Arriverdici Wine Bar, but other gigs also ie… parties or beach gigs. Our average age is late sixties, though age is not a factor as much as attitude. Everyone is wanting to improve at their craft and this is a good place to do that. We are a democratic band meaning we talk about what to play and vote out what we don’t want. Generally, we practice once a week for a couple of hours, take a break in-between to hang, have some wine or beer. Our last keyboard player had to quit due to health issues. We are looking for someone who’s musicianship is similar to our level. At this point we want to get better but enjoying the process is a big part of the band.
