We're starting a Wednesday night Prayer and Praise service in Hagerstown, and we're looking for band members. Currently we have three musicians: elec. guitar, vocals/trombone/keyboard/drums, and piano/bass/guitar. Time commitment is only one night a week: sound check/run-through at 6:30, service 7:00 - 7:45, rehearsal for next week 8-9. We will play contemporary Christian music and revive some hymns as well. Guitarist likes funk and the other two jazz, so it's a different sound from most church bands. Sometimes we use lead sheets and sometimes written arrangements. All instruments (except acoustic guitar) are welcome. Horns are especially appreciated. Acoustic guitars are welcome to play with the Sunday morning acoustic alternative service.
