EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — East Providence police are not completely done with "Live PD" quite yet. After disappointing some fans of the popular cable show in December when it was announced EPPD would be taking a hiatus from the show, A&E Network made a "special announcement" on Thursday that Chief William Nebus and Inspector Craig Sroka will be in studio for a Facebook Live session Friday night. EPPD said on Dec. 17 that the department would be stepping away from the show for at least the time being. "It was a great experience and we hope everyone enjoyed a glimpse into their local police," East Providence police posted. "LPD may be back, but no decisions have been made." The department's connection to the show also made news last week when attorneys for a city resident said a woman was seeking $1 million in damages for allowing her to be filmed on live television wearing just a towel.
