Meter Technician Parking $500 Sign on bonusWaterloo, IAMeter Technician $500 sign on bonusPark Waterloo is currently searching for outgoing personalities to join our team to help us meet our customer service objectives, implement new parking technologies and improve the overall parking operations downtown. Our Meter Technician performs the meter revenue collections as well as helps to keep the meters in working order through preventative maintenance and repair work.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist guests at meters and provide customer serviceDaily and weekly meter collection routesCleaning, replacing, repairing and adjusting parking metersRemoval and installation of metersPerforming periodic preventative maintenance work on metersBecoming knowledgeable and learning new techniques with the metersSnow/ice abatement during winter monthsAssist with event operations and preselling parkingBasic maintenance and janitorial dutiesCross train and learn how to perform other departmental dutiesOther duties as assignedSKILLS: Ability to learn quicklyCritical thinking; ability to assess situations and take best course of actionWork independently and be self-motivatedAttention to detailAbility to work well with othersCustomer oriented attitude; ability to work in a customer service environmentKnowledge of small power and mechanical hand toolsREQUIREMENTS: Ability to work in outdoor environments for extended periods of timeOutgoing, friendly personalityAbility to walk or stand for full shiftSufficient personal mobilityAbility to lift 30lbs.Valid Iowa driver’s licenseClean backgroundReliable transportation to and from workImpeccable attendanceADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 24/7 OperationOvertime required occasionally; 40 hours per week is a minimumFlexible schedule is needed.
