EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — A large brush fire near the Seekonk/East Providence town line shut down Mink Street to traffic late Thursday afternoon. Seekonk police asked residents form the towns to avoid the area Thursday night. High winds, conditions and the start of the growing seasons contributed to high fire danger warnings on Thursday. A large brush fire is burning on Mink Street at the East Providence Line. As a result, the roadway is shut down. Please avoid the area. pic.twitter.com/rtMN4FE945— Seekonk Police Dept.
