I seen Denver news reporting on a recreation centers wood floors marked with permanent marker with damages around 10k.
At any rate, acetone removes permanent maker and spray paint well for graffiti removal. I suggest testing material somewhere first, and having damp cloth to wipe away graffiti thus promoting oxidation to stop.
