EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — The Weaver Library Farmers Market plans to be back this summer as the state economy reopens amid the coronavirus health emergency. The farmers market is scheduled to open July 9 — which expected to be in the early stages of phase 3 of the state's reopening. In phase three, Gov. Gina Raimondo has said that social distancing guidelines will still apply, but gathering limits are expected to be raised from 15 to as many as 50. "We are so excited to welcome you to this year's market where you will find fresh food, produce, plants and more," the Weaver Library Farmers Market posted on social media. "We are taking every precaution to keep all of us safe and happy. There will be music and dance to make your shopping experience even more pleasant." The farmers market will open rain or shine each Thursday at 4 p.m. on Grove Street. There is free parking in the parking lot adjacent to the library. As of this week, the Weaver Library Farmers Market said these are the vendors who have committed to this summer's market, which is expected to run through Sept. 24.
