From the City of South Bend: August 27, 2020 The City of South Bend Department of Public Works announces the following traffic alerts beginning Friday, August 28, weather permitting. These streets will be milled and resurfaced: Lafayette Boulevard from South to Sample Streets – Friday, August 28 through Wednesday, September 2. Chapin Street from Western Avenue to Sample Street – Monday, August 31 through Thursday, September 3 All streets will remain open but will be restricted in the construction zone.
