Want to start a band/recording project

Hi, so early 30s here and I'm sort of getting back into making music after a little hiatus. I'm putting together a small "studio" space in my apartment and I've got some nice synths, samplers, and drum machines. I'd like to start writing music with others at some point soon. It could be one other person, it could be a few. We'll see what works. We don't have to have exactly the same music taste, but obviously some kind of similarities in what we want have to exist. I put some bands in the title to catch eyes, but I don't exactly want to sound like those bands. Maybe a synthesis of that energy with a modern update. We'll see what we come up with I guess.
