From the South Bend Community School Corporation: August 10, 2020 In an effort to ensure that the South Bend Community School Corporation continues its forward momentum, Superintendent Dr. C. Todd Cummings will hold outdoor community meetings throughout the city, encouraging all stakeholders to provide input on the district's developing strategic plan. Focusing on four priorities (literacy, financial stability, equity and inclusion, and community partnerships), the strategic plan is designed to guide the corporation's future direction. "As we begin a new school year with a renewed sense of purpose, we want to hear from parents and others. Do they believe we're heading in the right direction? Are their students' needs being met? What else do we need to work on? These are all issues we're hoping to address during these upcoming meetings," Cummings said. Strategic Plan meeting dates and times are: Tuesday, August 11; 12 p.m. at Charles Martin Youth Center, 802 Lincoln Way W, South Bend, 46616. (This meeting will replace the Talks with Todd virtual meeting). Thursday, August 13; 4 p.m. at Kroc Center, 900 W Western Ave, South Bend, 46601 Tuesday, August 18; 12 p.m. at Howard Park, 219 S.
